The 2008 China Wind Power Conference was held in Beijing on October 29-31 in the new venue China International Exhibition Centre. WED established its promotional booth, two seminars and provided a good opportunity for learning and exchanging ideas for 30 middle managerial staff from wind energy companies by subsidizing them to attend this conference.       ...more
WindPRO, developed by EMD from Demark, is a fully integrated Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP modular based software suite for the design and planning of both single WTGs and wind farms. It has been recognised and accepted by turbine manufacturers, developers, utilities as well as local planning authorities worldwide. Based on 20 years’ development, it has had 1000 users, and sold 6000 modules world wide. It is now available in full English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Danish and Swedish language version. As sub-project of WED programme, China Electric Power and Research Institute (CEPRI) together with EMD international A/S will host the 2nd WindPRO software training course from 20th till 21st of Nov, 2008 in Beijing.      ...more
Global Wind Energy Conference will be held from October 29th to 31st, 2008. To support the institutes of excellence, and train the stakeholders, WED programme has decided to invite 30 delegates from relevant organizations to attend this world wide event. WED held its 5th Programme Steering Committee meeting on Thursday 25 September 2008 in Beijing, chaired by Mr. Shi Lishan, deputy director of New and Renewable Energy Department of National Energy Administration. The PMO Director Mrs. Dong Luying presented the status and achievements for the last six months as well as the plans for each component in the next half year period. The Programme Steering Committee concluded that overall the projects and the activities have been progressing well and approved the working plans underlining the need for make up for the previous delay, and the PMO were entrusted with mandate to ensure a smooth an effective implementation of the remaining activities.       ...more
On 9th Sept, 2008 WED held the 3rd Quarterly Review Meeting in Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing. Prominent staff from WED's 3 executing agencies CMA, CHECC and CEPRI participated. Mr. Soren Kristoffersen, the newly appointed Counsellor and Miss Wu Haiou from the Royal Danish Embassy took part in the meeting. The 3 implement agencies reported the progress and obstacles of the carrying out the projects. The projects are going smoothly in general, and some projects milestones have been reached. PMO introduced the training component progress and plan, and discussed the draft report to the 5th PSC meeting with 3 PIUs.       ...more
The first O&M training focusing on providing theory and hand-on courses to director engineer who are responsible for the wind farm O&M work was launched. WED and Suzhou Longyuan Bailu Wind Power Vocational Training Center will host this training in September and October, 2008. Danish and Chinese experts are invited.
