Extension of the WED programme approved
The National Energy Administration (NEA) and the Embassy of Denmark has agreed to extend the WED Programme for another six months and include new programme activities.
The Chinese Danish WED programme which initiated at the a couple a years ago at the time of the Chinese wind energy development gaining momentum. Since 2007, the successive implementation and fruitful results of the WED programme are contributing to the fast development of wind energy in China. The new activities include specific technical research on wind energy to enhance the efficiency and planning of new wind farms. New information activities to disseminate the results of the programme in China and Denmark will be implemented. WED has collected and evaluated a number of project proposals using the WED unallocated funds. In November following 6 projects were approved:

This six supplementary projects and the extension of the implementation of the CMA component will be finished in May, 2010. The outputs and reports of the projects will be published in the websites of WED and the implementing agencies.
